Missional Family
God called the Adams Family to “GO” in May 2015. That summer they went on a 2 month “vision trip” throughout Japan with their 18 month old daughter, Chloe, and to discover later upon their return, Meg 5 months pregnant with their son, Ethan.
Preparing for over two years sharing their story, raising support and getting family matters in order, Team Adams arrived in Kagoshima, Japan January 10, 2018. Taking time to learn about their local community, connect with it's people and settle into a new way of life, God open doors to deepen relationships and identified needs where they could serve others around them.
This was their start in building a community.
Missional Community - Kagoshima
Over the years, their family of four turned into a community of Christ followers on mission serving others in need in and around their community. Since 2018 they have planted seeds in the hearts of many, established outreach programs, welcomed visitors from various cities in Japan and abroad, hosted short-term mission teams, provided sponsorship for long-term missionaries and conducted translation/interpretation support for ministry functions, legal and medical settings. God has shown his faithfulness and continues to stretch Team Adams and their community to step out in faith taking new territory.
In addition to daily ministry functions, they have been investing time and energy in building relations with other local church pastors with a vision to unify the “Big C” church and to provide respite to many active aging pastors who have dedicated their lives to love and serve their people, their communities, their nation - Japan.
Called to Go….
Missional Community - Tokyo
Through friends, Suro and Ayaka Lopez, CPJ will launch their next Missional Community in Tokyo! Jack and Meg met Suro and Ayaka in 2016 at a Japanese Christian Fellowship Network Conference (JCFN) held in Chicago. In 2021, Suro and Ayaka made their way to Tokyo, Japan from Florida very much in the same way as Jack and Meg - as independent missionaries starting ministries organically. Jack and Meg have had the pleasure of walking alongside Suro and Ayaka since their arrival in Tokyo and finally had the opportunity to reunited face-to-face in Tokyo, June 2025 since meeting 9 years ago in Chicago. CPJ will host Suro and Ayaka and their entire worship band in Kagoshima August 2025!
