Making Disciples
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost”
"Go and make disciples" is more than just a command—it's our shared mission as followers of Christ. This call invites us to engage with people in our communities and beyond, sharing the love and truth of Jesus. Making disciples means more than simply sharing the good news; it’s about walking alongside others, helping them grow in faith, and encouraging them to live out God’s purpose. Every conversation, act of kindness, and moment of prayer can be part of this transformative journey. We embrace this calling with joy, dedication and perseverance, knowing that through our efforts, lives will be changed and God’s Kingdom will continue to grow.
The Gathering
Much like the early church gathering together for meals, sharing food was more than just nourishment—it was a way to build community, foster fellowship, and strengthen the bond of faith. These shared moments around the table created space for encouragement, teaching, and mutual support. In today’s fast-paced world, coming together for a meal still holds that powerful capacity to connect believers, deepen relationships, and reflect the love of Christ in tangible ways. Embracing this practice invites us to slow down, share life, and experience the church not just as a place, but as a family united in grace.
Once a week we come together for this purpose.
“The Son of Man came eating and drinking...”
“She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
Mom’s Group
Being a mom is undeniably hard work, filled with both challenges and blessings. Especially in a culture where fathers are often absent or disengaged from the household due to company demands. More and more children in Japan struggle with school life with record numbers taking long absences from school.
The Bible offers encouragement and wisdom for mothers, reminding them of their value and purpose.
Each week Mom’s come together to share their struggles, celebrate their successes and leave feeling mutually encouraged.
Why is this such an important ministry?
Japanese women play a crucial role in the transformation of households into Christian homes. Traditionally, women in Japan are the central figures in managing the family’s daily life and nurturing the next generation. Their influence over children's values, family routines, and community connections positions them uniquely to introduce and sustain Christian faith within the household.
When women embrace Christianity, they often become the spiritual leaders at home—guiding prayer, teaching biblical values, and fostering an environment where faith can grow. Their commitment can inspire husbands and children to explore and accept Christian beliefs, thereby creating a ripple effect that strengthens the entire family’s spiritual foundation.
Supporting Japanese women in their faith journey not only empowers them personally but also serves as a catalyst for broader community transformation. Encouraging and equipping women with biblical knowledge, fellowship opportunities, and leadership roles can lead to more households becoming centers of Christian life and witness in Japan.
